Hm. Dglenn walking down the street, highly entertaining. Dglenn with a camera walking down the street, terrifying. Maybe they're afraid that you're going to steal their souls? Or worse, make fun of them in return? Or even worse, steal their bigoted attitudes and leave them with a clearer understanding of human nature? (Wouldn't that be nice? Take a picture of someone, they find enlightenment. Ahhh, if t'were only that easy..!)
